Ports, waterways and reservoirs

Hydrography and geophysics ensure navigation, which is one of the priorities of the ports and organizations managing France's waterways. It is also a necessity for studies on the coast (planning study) and for river and port works which also require new tools for inspection, monitoring of environmental parameters to ensure the quality of works and impact studies.

Port Management: Development works - Safety for navigation

The management of a port goes through several stages: study, construction, layout, maintenance, positioning and aid to navigation. The various trades that operate every day at the ports need specific solutions that can adapt to all situations encountered, from the largest areas to be inspected, to the most inaccessible scour.

Coastline: Studies and Development

The entire French coastline is subject to studies every day to better understand its dynamics, to improvements, environmental monitoring and numerous measures. Many of you are involved in this on a daily basis, and you need to have precise and reliable solutions to understand how it works.

Maintenance of navigable roads and reservoirs

France has the largest network of inland waterways in Europe, 6,700 km of canals and rivers throughout the country. This large network requires daily maintenance, development and improvement. 3,000 engineering structures are distributed over the network and require close monitoring by VNF in particular. Transport of goods, tourism and nature coexist every day on our French rivers, and ask you to ensure safety and respect. Our role: Provide you with the appropriate equipment and support you in your missions.

Dredging: High precision machine guidance

Dredging, clearing or earthworks are essential steps for coastal development, port development and offshore construction. To facilitate the work of machine operators, and thus optimize your water operations for better performance, Subtop integrates turnkey solutions composed of different sensors (GPS, course measurement, inclinometers, attitude controllers, etc.) for a real-time monitoring of your projects.
